Sponsoring twenty to thirty new distributors to a network marketing business every month might seem insurmountable to most people. But to us who have done it, and do it on a consistent basis, it's a no brainer. I didn't say that to brag, but simply to illustrate a simple truth, and here it is: Sponsoring people to your MLM is not that hard as it seems. Of course, there's still some work involved, and you need to learn a particular set of skills, but all in all, the sponsoring process can be as easy as 1-2-3.
One of the reasons why most distributors don't sponsor anyone is because they didn't take the time to learn the simple, basic skills of MLM sponsoring. That's plain and simple. Those skills, when learned, polished and mastered, can make your MLM sponsoring process as easy as taking a bath or brushing your teeth. I'm not kidding. What are these basic skills? Luckily you don't need to be a rocket scientist to acquire these skills. Here are they:
1. Basic Selling. Ok, some of you might back off with the mention of the word "selling". Don't worry, you don't need to be a fast talker or a Wall Street broker just to succeed in MLM. You just need to identify the features of your business opportunity/product, then transform them into benefits that the customer will enjoy. This is not hard. 2. Basic Internet Skills. You don't need to be a technical genius or Google analyst to make it big in MLM. In fact, if you can check your email and create simple Facebook and Twitter accounts, you can make big money in MLM. Again, don't take my word for it. 3. Simple Human Relations and Follow Up. What would you do after people sign up to your program? This is where simple human relations and follow up skills come to use. Your residual income is the financial little extra that is leftover in your hand after your bills are paid each month. The financial obligations are paid off and any extra money is left as passive income. But don't forget to plan for every bill, not just the ones for this month, but the quarterly payments also.
If you need $1500 in your budget for monthly expenses and you earn $1900 a month, that extra $400 is your residual income. You haven't done anything other than go to work and put your best day to the job you do. The $400 left over from your earned income is now residual income.
Other forms of passive money result from interest-bearing checking accounts, dividends from stocks and even money received from rental properties. Passive income comes to you as the result of a prior purchase or savings plan. The work you did before retirement counts toward your payment of a pension. The pension check is now residual income.
If you have a mortgage on your home or the home you rent out, upon the complete payment of that mortgage, the funds you use to pay to the mortgage company is no longer needed there so it becomes residual income. It's like there is now an empty space where money is no longer needed. You can stash that money away as residual or replace the mortgage payment with a boat payment. It's up to you.
The amount of passive income you can show a bank when applying for a loan is paramount in the bank's decision to lend you the money. It shows them that you have enough funds to assume the responsibility to repay the loan. With the loan money in hand, you assume a payment plan and may be paying less interest on the loan than you would have lost by dipping into a great stock that provides steady residual income.
Income is taxable. It is the way our country works, and every time you gather money as income, you give Uncle Sam his share. The interest earned, the income from rent and the royalties from the sale of a book are all taxable income. Some states have rules about the tax on pension checks. In some states, pension checks are taxable.
As with any earnings, you should make sure you keep accurate books. Sloppy bookkeeping can run you into trouble with the IRS. If you are still employed and have several rental properties, stocks, bonds and other residual income ventures, you might need help from an accountant. You need to make sure that you save receipts for ease in doing your taxes.
Look beyond today when you choose the money makers of tomorrow. Set up and put in place some sources that will provide you with residual income in the years to come. Be aware of how to plan for the future and how to use that planning to promote some residual income. The financial little extra can become your ticket for the future.

For example, let's talk about the "blues." They make up 15% of the population, and they are open and direct. They talk too much, they volunteer more information than necessary, they like to have fun, they see the big picture, and most importantly, they don't like details and numbers. Finally, they have difficulty in focusing on one task, and you may think they have a little bit of ADHD. More "blues" join network marketing than any other personality type. If you are a "blue," you need to learn to shut your mouth and stop interrupting your prospect; you must learn to listen, and you must learn to focus on your tasks. In contrast, when you sponsor a "blue," you need to teach him how to listen and how to focus in order to succeed in network marketing.
When you prospect a "blue," let him talk, and tell him about the trip you won and the fun you have with your team in network marketing. Do not give him details. Make sure you follow up closely with him, but send him short and sweet e-mails. If you make the mistake of sending long, detailed e-mails to your blue prospect, he will block your e-mails, and he will screen his phone calls and never pick up.
Let's talk about the “yellows.” They make up 30% of the population, and they are open and indirect. They are soft spoken, they are the super nice people, and they are very sensitive. They don't like pushy aggressive people. When your prospect a “yellow”, do not talk about money, and tell him how this business will allow him to be with his family and loved ones, and how your products are helping people with their health and wealth. Dare to focus on the money with them and you lost them forever.
As illustrated above, in order to have success in your prospecting, you need to understand the different personality types.

If you do this continuously for the next 5-12 months, you will find that you will have a good size of prospects you can speak to or email to and you will find that the range falls between a few thousand prospects to tens of thousands of prospects. When you follow this formula, you are bullet proof even if your network marketing company falls apart!
You have nothing to worry about because you will still have a huge list of prospects in your OWN database. With this, you own your leads, not your company. If your company gets closed down or if you get kicked out of your network marketing company, you can simply pick another business opportunity and start promoting it to your own leads without losing ANYTHING! As you can see, if you want to achieve long term network marketing success, you need to learn how to generate and protect your own leads. These databases of leads that you generated are yours and yours to keep forever.
Sometimes when you will find that other network marketing companies or home business opportunities will offer their own squeeze page template for you to copy and paste. However I would not recommend it for the following reasons:
(1) You will not be able to differentiate from the rest of the distributors in the company! With every single distributor out there using the same squeeze page, you do not stand out as a leader because people don't just join a company... they join YOU! What makes you different that people would want to join you instead of other people?
(2) When you use the same template that dozens of other people are using, you will lose out on a lot of FREE search engine traffic. The reason being, Google doesn't like people using duplicate content. Basically, it is much better to use your own original content.
(3) You are still building your company's database in the end. Better to build your own list or database, gain your prospect's trust and build the bond so that even if the company closes down (or if you leave your company), your loyal subscriber will still follow you at the end of the day.

If your downline cannot duplicate what you do, then your business will become a one person business with no meaningful results. You will find yourself managing your downline, you do the presentations, you contact their list in addition to yours. This is not duplicable.
4. Sacrifice: Just like anything that we do in life, we must make sacrifices. If you want to be successful in this industry there will have to be sacrifices. Give up on old ways of doing things, step outside of your comfort zone, and try new things to improve yourself. The attrition rate in MLM is really high. I don't have any statistics to show you except my personal experience. If you also interview other uplines from other networking companies, they will tell you the same thing. Lots of new distributors tend to drop out from an MLM program within 4 to 6 months.
